Congratulations to attorney Rebecca R. DeMarb and attorney Jeffery P. Phillips for continued recognition through this rigorous selection process
Due to consistent recognition on Super Lawyers lists, it becomes clear that DeMarb Brophy LLC attorneys Rebecca DeMarb and Jeffery Phillips are strong leaders in their practice areas.
Ms. DeMarb has been placed on the annual Super Lawyers list for the past thirteen years (2008-2020). She has been placed on the Top 25 Women Wisconsin Super Lawyers list in 2010, and from 2015-2020, as well as the Top 25 Madison Super Lawyers list for the past six years (2015-2020). These two lists boast even more exclusivity than the Super Lawyers list, because they include only the attorneys who accumulate the most points throughout the selection process.
The 2020 Super Lawyers list is a prestigious recognition granted annually to only 5 percent of attorneys in each state.
Attorney Jeffery P. Phillips has been placed on the Super Lawyers 2020 Rising Stars list, a prestigious recognition by Super Lawyers as well, and annually presented to only 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state. In order to be chosen as a Rising Star, an attorney must have been practicing law for 10 years or less and be 40 years old or younger. Mr. Phillips has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars list consistently, for the past eight years (2013-2020).
When taking into consideration the fact that such a small percentage of lawyers are recognized on Super Lawyers lists each year, it becomes clear that the recognition is quite exclusive. Why is landing on a Super Lawyers list so coveted? It is due to Super Lawyers uniquely meticulous selection process, based on a point system and numerous phases. Super Lawyers ultimately aims to pose as the most accurate non-biased source for consumers, when they are searching for a list of the top lawyers in each state.
What does Super Lawyers accurate selection process entail?
First, the pool of candidates must be gathered. Attorneys can be added to the candidate pool by formal nominations, or discovery by the Super Lawyers research team. Being selected to the candidate pool does not ensure you are chosen for the final list at the end of the process, however. Being added to the candidate pool simply puts attorneys on Super Lawyers radar. After the pool of candidates is gathered, independent research on each of the attorneys is conducted by the Super Lawyers research team. According to Super Lawyers, the team examines “12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement”. These achievement indicators could include many factors such as verdict settlements, scholarly lectures/writings, honors/awards and overall experience.
